Poetry, art, and choreography are three of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen. Sincere perfection, my ideal trinity and all three crafted with a unique ability. Let me explain… I met Poetry at a open mic event, and the more I watched her lips move, the more I realize she was heaven-sent… for me. Dimly lit was the stage she took, I was full of anticipation like a unread book, but she stood… silently, for just enough time to fully entice me… then she spoke. Leaving me in a comatose state, my heart began to palpitate until I could no longer relate to reality, she left me in a euphoric fantasy but I wasn’t surprised at the way her words made me feel, each letter sent a titillating chill, down my spine. Then I figured we both rhymed so maybe our words could mix and produce little poetic kids but that would come in due time! And although Poetry was sweet to my ears, art was even sweeter to my eyes. She was an abstract being who colored my mind not once but time after time. And I constantly found myself chasing her sunshine in the midst of twilight. She was the epitome of a fasionist, from the bow in her hair down to the color of her shoelace, in her cute little boots, I felt underdressed in a three-piece suit. And I know God created all of us but he must have used his special paintbrush for her, taking time to define every curve. She was the quintessential creation to prove God is the almighty creator and she’d still look amazing, even superimposed on paper or portrayed on a canvas because curvaceous was her shape and perfectly shaded was her face. Art, the girl who drew my heart. But choreography was a completely different story, unlike the other two she was aggressive… she would invade your space then leave but expected you to chase because she was a queen. It was so frustrating but I was memorized which resulted in no rebuttaling. I followed blindly, hypnotized and we found ourselves Dirty Dancing on the daily like Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze in the late 80’s better yet she saved the last like Sara and Derek and she made me Step Up like Channing Tatum and I was gonna serve her like Omarion but she stomped the yard like Dj Williams, so we slow danced… for what seemed like an eternity, until nothing else was clear to me… except those eyes. Where I saw a prediction of us dancing under the moonlight and bathing in the sunshine and I promise this girl is much more than a dime, she’s priceless, our bodies cavort in unison, we’re seamless. She’s my golden ticket and I need to redeem it. She performed a pirouette on my mind, I think I’m dreaming but for the tantalizing trio I’m fiending. Poetry, Art, and Choreography are the three most beautiful things, God laid in front of me and I thank him for showing me true beauty in something intangible like poetry, and allowing something so quiet to speak to me like paintings and drawings and forcing me to see stories told through movements and dancing. Thank you for this tantalizing trio…
